What to test with each

photo-1600.jpg is the general-purpose input for compress, resize, and JPG → WebP. portrait-900.jpg checks that longest-edge resize and PDF page fitting handle portrait orientation. with-gps-exif.jpg is made for Remove EXIF — it carries a full fake EXIF block including GPS coordinates, so you can watch the tool find and strip them. huge-4096.jpg stress-tests target-size compression (try 100 KB). scan-a4.jpg + JPG → PDF reproduces the phone-scan workflow. transparent-512.png shows the background-colour choice in PNG → JPG, and doubles as a logo for watermarking. sample-800.webp feeds WebP → JPG.

iphone-photo.heic is a genuine HEVC-in-HEIF file for HEIC → JPG — the interesting test is opening it in Chrome or Firefox, where the browser itself cannot display it and the WebAssembly decoder does the work. modern-900.avif feeds AVIF → JPG, and its 4.7 KB against a 55 KB JPEG of the same picture shows why sites are switching. chart-vector.svg deliberately declares a viewBox and no width or height, which is the case that rasterises to nothing in most converters — SVG → JPG handles it. document-12page.pdf is for PDF → JPG page ranges (try 1-3, 12), with a single-page version for a quicker check. photo-1600-edited.jpg pairs with photo-1600.jpg in Compare two JPGs: a small percentage of pixels changed by a large amount, which is what an edit looks like next to a re-compression.
